Bleeding without hormone activity, possible health issue?

I’m exclusively breastfeeding my baby who is 3 months old.
My postpartum bleeding stopped at 3 weeks. And then one month later I thought it started up again but then I realized it was more like a regular period. Lasted for 5 days, started heavy and then faded out.
4 weeks later I had another bleeding experience that looked exactly like a regular 5 day period and decided I should start charting because it looks like my fertility might be trying to start back up again.
We’re trying to avoid pregnancy, this is our first time using FAM. I charted a couple of cycles before we became pregnant with our first so I know what a normal sustained thermal shift should look like and what my fertile wet time feels like.
I charted from the time of my last bleeding and I’ve just started another period bleeding on CD 32. So my “cycle” lasted for 31 days, and average number I know. But there was absolutely no thermal shift. Even with my temps being somewhat erratic I can tell that there was no shift. I also had three pretty wet days where we avoided intercourse and that was CD 15-17.
I guess my question is: because I haven’t had enough wet days to indicate enough estrogen to ovulate, how could I be experiencing estrogen break through bleeding? And if I obviously don’t have enough progesterone to maintain a thermal shift then why am I even bleeding at all? And how could it be so regular? Is this indicators of another problem I need to be aware of?
If anyone else has had experience with this I’d love to hear your thoughts. I’ve already read and studied the TCOYF book through and through and I’m very familiar with the basics of charting.
Thanks.

I hope that someone can chime in here that has had a similiar experience and can provide some insight. I would highly recommend that you check in with your doctor too! I am surprised you've already seen some bleeding since you are exclusively breastfeeding. But, it's still likely there are some hormonal imbalances occurring which may be why it's hard to pinpoint if ovulation is even occurring! Good luck to you.

Do you think you could take a quick look at my chart to see if you notice anything? I know my temps are irregular but maybe you’d have some new insight.
I told the doc and she thought it was a return of PP bleeding even though I’d been clean for almost four weeks. And then when it happened again they thought it was vaginal irritation after sex. Which is kind of hilarious haha because it’s more bleeding than just irritation and looks just like a period at this point. Plus we always use a lot of lube anyways.
Anyways, I guess time will tell if my real fertility ever returns.
But if anybody else has had experience on this I would love to hear from them! :D

Hmmm...that does seem a little silly from your doctor. Well, at least you're collecting data that you can show her if this ocontinues!
