Most of my pregnancy I had slight sticky discharge when wiping, but not enough that I'd need a pantyliner or anything. The last month it did ramp up a bit and felt mote wet and creamy, but it was never a ton.
I'm not sure if there's a typical amount or if it varies woman to woman. I'd be more concerned you don't trust what your ob is saying.
