Due in October, November, December 2016

March 18, 2016 at 8:40 pmHey ladies! The doesn't look like there is a group for Oct, Nov, Dec yet so I figured I'd start one since I know there are a few other ladies that have their due dates around mine!
So I just got my BFP this morning for baby #2! It took us a year and a half to conceive my DD and this time by some miracle it worked the first try! It's still hard to believe that it's happening and so fast! My due date is Nov 27th based on conception date (thanks to ovacue).
Tests are in my profile, I'm planning on testing again tomorrow morning to make sure they are darker. And then we will tell our immediate families! I went to the Drs tonight to get the paperwork for some blood tests so I'll be doing my first blood draw tomorrow probably and then twice more afterwards. Hopefully an ultrasound just after Easter to confirm that it's not ectopic again.
Wishing all of us a happy and healthy pregnancy and birth!! :-)

Congrats 1healthylady! I'm so sorry for your losses and pray that you have a healthy pregnancy. I'm sure you'll get used to all the extra care you'll be getting this time around! 4 weeks does seem crazy early!
Poohmomma, I'm glad they didn't seem overly concerned. Praying things continue to progress for you. How do you feel about it?

I've switched to a gummie vitamin and taking it at bedtime and am having way less nausea this week than last. I'm starting to *feel* pg, can't wait to look it!

Lauren, baby looks good!! I love sneaking peaks at your little bean since I believe we are the same day and mine looks hopefully similar!
1healthylady, I'm sure seeing that sweet heartbeat will be music for the soul, and the announcement will be greeted with such joy from family and friends! Can't wait to share this journey with you!
Jtrimble, I did the same and the gummies have been such a huge help! I've been starting to poke around above my pubic bone waiting to feel my uterus start to peek up over. That will be my sign that the bump is on its way! I've read for first time mom's that can start between 8-12 weeks, but I'm fairly petite, so I think I Will be on the lower end! Time will tell!!
I have been doing WAY better with nausea since switching vitamins and trying to eat more substantial foods (i had a whole stuffed shell for lunch, which was a huge victory- the first dairy I've had in weeks!) and I'm starting to crawl out of what felt like hibernation and get back to actually leaving the house for a few hours a day. That helps time move a little quicker too. When I worry about symptoms subsiding I just think of hamburgers or chicken and my stomach flips for reassurance haha! I had initially lost 5 lbs from my pre pregnancy weight, but I have gained back 2 which makes me feel pretty good about my progress towards feeling human again! I put my 7w bloat bump pic up today. I wouldn't have noticed a change of not for last week's pic!

Annie, I can see the difference in your pic from last week. How exciting! And yes, your little baby is looking just like mine right now, fun!! Glad to hear your nausea is getting better. I'm definitely having a lot of food aversions this time around. Nothing sounds good, and when I force.myself to eat I feel sick. I'll get to the point that my stomach hurt sand it's nauseating because I'm so hungry but can't eat anything! I'm hoping to find something that sounds good when I get that way so I can stock up on it in the house.

I still have to go back for another blood draw on Monday just to make sure hormones are still increasing. Definitely not looking forward to that after yesterday's blood draw. I usually don't have trouble with needles but the girl who did it was not that great. She kept moving the needle and was only able to get 4 of the 5 vials out of my vein and then had to stick me in the other arm. I seriously thought I was going to throw up. Thank God DH was there to give me some Sprite mid-draw!

Bd, that's exciting! It will be fun to see the changes as time goes by! I have my first blood draw on Wednesday and I'm NOT looking forward to it at all, just because I think I'll end up dizzy and I would hate to drive like that. I've had blood drawn a million times and I know Its not a big deal, but veins just gross me out so bad!
I had my first baby dream last night. It was super unrealistic, but fun to see baby haha! I dreamed I was in labor (induced with an epidural) and ready to push but only one nurse was available and she wouldn't let me push until a doctor or another nurse could come. So while I was waiting I asked to go pee and she let me get up and go (i know..unrealistic) and when I stood up after going the baby was already in the toilet?!?! I picked him up and went out like "uhhh..." but he was fine and a BOY! We were team green in my dream, which is interesting because we are SO undecided on finding out haha! It was strange haha.

DH and I have been talking about when and how to tell our families. I have two sister-in-laws who have a 1 y/o and 2 y/o, so we are thinking about going with the timelines they used and telling everyone around 8 weeks. I'm still a little shocked how quick everything happened. Right now we are thinking of telling my mom and dad on Mother's Day (May 8th), which is also my dad's birthday. Planning to give him a card that says, "Happy Birthday, Grandpa!" and then something similar to my mom for Mother's Day. This will be the first grandchild for my parents. For my husband's family, we are trying to get them all together the following weekend and are thinking of talking about vacation plans for the holidays and then see if they are wiling to spend Christmas where we live as it will be difficult to travel with a newborn (our due date is 12/18/16, so we might have a Christmas baby!).
Last night I finished a project of putting chalk board contact paper on a tall mirror ($5 from Wal Mart) that I plan to take a weekly bump picture with. I plan to take my first picture later today and will share it. My sister-in-law did something similar and I thought it was adorable. I bought liquid chalk markers to use on it and they should be easy to wash off every week.
I also started keeping a daily journal to keep track of my pregnancy and help pass some of the time...I feel like this first week of knowing has dragged on and on!
Hope everyone else is having a wonderful Friday!

Famnerd, I think the first 6 weeks were the slowest for me. Now I'm realizing my second trimester is only a little over a month away and it feels like progress is being made! Hoping you avoid the sickness especially with your work trip! I need to get some kind of chalkboard going, I've just been feeling so yucky that trying to look nice for a picture feels like so much effort haha! Can't wait to see how you're turns out! We have announced to parents and siblings at 4.5 weeks since I was sick and they all knew something was up over Easter. We've also told several friends and some aunts and uncles as well, just because I have been so miserable that as it has come up we have been sharing the news. It makes me nervous every time the circle widens a little, but I'm just focusing on how things seem to be going well and hopefully everyone just feels extra special knowing a little early.

I haven't really had nausea the last couple days, which has me slightly concerned except I never have really bad sickness, but I am exhausted. I've gone into town everyday this week and the trips and errands just wear me out. And I finished processing four rabbits yesterday and adding pegboard to the back of my garden sink today, so staying busy at home too. The vivid pregnant dreams have started. Nothing baby related, but I wake up in the morning and wonder if the conversations with neighbors really happened or if it was just a dream. My poor mom, she didn't get any kind of cute announcement. She's a pastor and has basically been my grief counselor the last couple months. God, I love her so much! So when I got my bfp I texted her a pic of my stick. lol. We're going to have to ask Hubby's family to spend Christmas down here. Since my mom is a pastor she won't be able to come down til after. I *think* I posted my first 4-week belly pic/2-month PP belly pic. I'm still hanging on to the extra 15lbs from my last pregnancy, which I'm glad about now. I didn't have to lose it all just to gain it back again. I gain a lot during pregnancy. 52 lbs with my first! Last time I gained 26lbs in 25 weeks. So hopefully I won't really gain much in the first tri. I have to leave within an hour for my first appointment and we're no where near ready! Gotta go shower! And pack a diaper bag. And load trash and recycling. And, and.... get off the computer. :)

FAMNerd, my only recommendation for the nausea is to always have something to snack on with you. I keep saltine crackers on my bedside table so I can eat a few before I even get out of bed in the morning. It helps settle my stomach enough that I can get up and get a shower before eating my real breakfast. I'm not as good as eating small snacks throughout the day as I should be, as I get caught up in my work but my body has been telling me pretty quickly if I go too long between snacks by making me nauseous. My midwife wants me to eat 100 g of protein every day and I have a feeling that I am not there. It just seems like so much, but I'm trying :)
I've been trying to keep working out as best I can, but I've noticed that I am definitely way off my normal running pace - like 30-45 seconds slower than normal. I figure any exercise is better than none, even if it is slow! How is everyone else doing on the exercise front?
Okay, time to go get my hockey fix for the night :)

Congrats on your bfp, 1healthylady!
Bd2016, 30-45 seconds off is not bad at all. In the past few weeks when I run, I've found that I CAN still push myself to keep the same pace, but I feel pretty terrible when I do. I went for a run Tuesday morning at my usual pre-pregnancy pace and started to feel like I might pass out, so after that one I decided I should probably slow the pace down for my safety and the baby's lol. I actually like lifting weights better than running and I haven't noticed a decrease in my strength at all yet. The only thing I've noticed is that I get tired and hungry faster than I used to. I can't wait for the pool to open up this summer too. I always swim all through the summer, but I may have to invest in a membership at an indoor pool when it gets cooler this fall just because swimming is such a great, low-impact exercise that I should be able to continue all the way to delivery even if I have to stop lifting and running.
I started feeling nauseous on Thursday this week. That day was the worst so far, yesterday and today haven't been as bad. But I live in California and I had to go to Georgia for work so that's a 3 hour time difference. The first couple nights I was there I didn't get much sleep because I wouldn't be tired at all at 10 when I should have gone to bed because my body thought it was 7. So Wednesday was an extremely stressful day of work and when I finally got back to my hotel around 6 I basically just crashed. Then of course I woke up around midnight and was wide awake for the rest of the night. So Thursday I was exhausted and stressed and nauseated. It was not a good day :( But I got home last night and have been feeling much better since coming home. And it's a huge relief to have that trip out of the way. I shouldn't have to do anymore travelling now until mid-June when I will be a couple weeks into the second trimester.
I finally got my authorization for the insurance so I can call and schedule my first appointment on Monday. I'm excited! I hope it's soon :)

Bd, the lack energy has affected the excersise front too! I know how beneficial it is to stay active but man, I just can't get myself to do much more than lay in the yard and take in some sunshine. I wasn't super active before, although my job is pretty active, so that does help.
Jtrimble, I'm glad the appointment went well! It's always nice to be further along than you thought- nothing like crossing off an extra week of then first trimester! The picture is adorable!
Anna, sorry you were nauseous on the trip! I live on the east coast and travelled to Nevada for work in February before ttc. The time change really messed with me too, i had awful headaches the first few days and just felt so off the whole time. I hope you're still doing better at home!
I should be 8w tomorrow and have my first appointment Wednesday for a blood draw and urine sample. I'm getting frustrated because nobody can tell me what fees I will need to pay (insurance says to get billing codes and call back. Drs office says no billing codes are in the system until I arrive for the appt) so I'm hoping that all ends up working out. I'm told I will meet my deductible with the blood work alone a because of all that they're testing, but it really makes me upset because of they test for a bunch of titers and insurance doesn't cover that I could be out $1000 on top of the deductible for tests in just had done a year ago when I worked in healthcare. What I mean is, I already know I have antibodies to Hep B because I was immunized and had a tiger drawn a year ago for work that insurance wouldn't have covered. But nobody can tell me if they'll be doing a Hep B titer again (it would he pretty pointless to do so) and if they are, will it be covered? Additionally, DH and I have been each other's one and only literally since childhood, so STD screenings are also not necessary if they won't be covered (I know people can cheat, but I'm 10000% confident that hasn't happened ever for us). They told me at my yearly gyno visit last year that STD screening was optional because it isn't covered by my insurance and I opted out then, but maybe insurance treats it differently during prenatal care? Ughh it's so frustrating and I just feel like there's no way to know up front how to deal with this! Should I try speaking with a nurse instead of the financial dept??
