19 follicles does sound very good! Sorry you're feeling uncomfortable. Of course I ended up with a bladder flare (basically the symptoms of a bladder infection without a bacteria as the cause) and am now trying everything to help it go down before we start next week. I think it happened in part because of the BCP as mine are sometimes hormonally triggered. Going to accupuncture today to try to get some relief.

feeling theme so I think you are all good;)
I've been dealing with chronic bladder issues so my love affair with wine and coffee has been on hold for a while now. At least now I'm excited to give them up for a better cause...
I picked up a giant cooler full of all the meds yesterday. The look on my husbands face was priceless. I think he thought it was gonna be a bottle of pills and a couple of needles. He's very sweet and supportive but I think until it's in front of them guys don't understand when you try to describe how involved this is... lol.

Btw, I just had a failed IVF cycle few weeks ago. I'm 37, my AMH is pretty low, and egg quality wasn't great, but my DH's morphology was low as well - 99% abnormal or something. They suggested that next time we could consider IMSI, where they look at sperm under a microscope and select the ones with the best morphology. You could find out more about it if morphology is going to be an issue. Hopefully it won't be!!!

IMSI is similar to ICSI but there is an added step where they look at the sperms under a super powerful microscope and only select the ones with high chances of success / normal morphology. We have been advised to do this next time, and also some other process where they wash the sperms with calcium prior to selecting them.
I wish they had just done whatever was best in our case rather than doing ICSI just because it was previously decided.

It's just that the IVF can be quite an emotionally draining process, so you might as well get it right the first time rather than keep trying things one by one to see what works.

Frankiella, I am so glad your retrieval went well. Doing a frozen cycle does seem to give higher chances for pregnancy. I know it seems like a long time to wait, but in the longrun it will be so worth the wait. Our bodies go through so much.

Sarahm, do they know why a lot of embryos are not surviving? It does explain why IUI was not working, it also didn't work for us. I'm sending u many prayers and good vibes.
