5:30 am is not too early to take your temp. If you wake up at that time, even if only breifly, it would be better to take your temp then than at 7 am when you alarm goes off.
When coming off of hormonal birth control, it can take months for your body to regulate or find it's 'normal' and that will be different for each person.
It is also possible that your new therometer is calibrated just slightly differently than the other thermometer. Making that change mid-cycle can make it a little harder to see a clear thermal shift. It is also possible that you ovulated a little later this cycle. With 4 missing temps, it's just harder to say for sure.
The chart detects possible ovulation on CD 16, but it doesn't meet all the requirements to populate an ovulation day for sure.
