PCOS with regular cycles?

I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Allie & I'm 30 years old. I am and have always been a heavy woman. I was approx 240 lbs the first time I conceived.
I have conceived twice on my own, & have 1 child(first pregnancy), he was conceived the 3rd month of trying & I had a fairly easy pregnancy. He was born in April of 2015. However, I will say that according to my LMP & my first ultrasound with him, he implanted much later than expected which will be relevant for the rest of the story!
Fast forward a year after the birth of my son, hubby & I decided to try for another baby. We got pregnant that month & it seemed to take forever for me to get a positive pregnancy test, which leads me to believe that I implanted with that baby late as well. Unfortunately, it was during a mandatory evacuation of our city at the time & because of all of the chaos I was unable to get an ultrasound early on. At 12 weeks, I experienced some light spotting so went to the hospital to find out that baby stopped developing at 9.5 weeks & I was experiencing a missed miscarrage. This was in late June of 2016. :(
Since then, we went through a few family hardships including the loss of my brother which resulted in more weight gain. The kicker is, my period is and always has been regular. I'm 30-34 days like clockwork, with mostly being 33-34 days. I have not been able to conceive since my miscarriage but to say that we have seriously tried, I feel, would be an overstatement. We have tried certain months but again, I feel like maybe I ovulated later than I think or my luteal phase is very short... when I think of my first pregnancy, according to LMP my due date was March 25, but according to first ultrasound, it was April 5... even though my cycle is longer than 28 days, that is a substantial difference. I have went to my doctor & he tells me that I have PCOS despite the regular cycles, & that I am not actually ovulating. I have experienced positive OPKs, usually around CD18 in the past, but I'm wondering if my body either never releases the egg or if it tries again later & releases it then & my progesterone mark was just off on the day of testing.
Since turning 30, I do feel like the pressure is on to conceive. I have lost some weight since making the decision to try to have another baby, & I have also started myo-inositol. However, last month my cycle went from 34 days to 24 days... is that crazy? I'm wondering why that would happen?
And also, what can I do to combat my apparent short luteal phase? Has anyone tried Vitex?
I appreciate any & all advice.
Thanks.
Allie

I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage.
Are you charting your BBT? OPKs are only going to give you advanced notice of possible ovulation. They are not going to confirm it. If you are unsure if you are ovulating, I would highly recommend starting to at least chart your BBT so you can get an idea of when you might ovulating and how long your luteal phase might be.
Your cycle can go from 34 days to 24 days. All that means is ovulation possibly happened much sooner in your cycle than in the past. Myo-inositol is a great supplement for women with PCOS and can help with overall reproductive health.
I don't have any personal experience with Vitex. Hopefully some other women will be able to share their experience if they have used it.
Best of luck to you.

Thank you for your reply. So it is okay for women who do not have PCOS to take Myo-Inositol as well? I have a girlfriend who wanted to give it a go but was worried about her egg reserve as she does not have PCOS.
I appreciate your insight! I haven't done temp charting before but I plan to next cycle (bit late in the game as it's CD19), but hopefully there will be no need for a next cycle.
