October 30, 2020 at 7:27 amCan anyone provide me some insights to my current cycle/graph? I’m not sure if I ovulated on CD13 or 14. Is my BBT too low for post ovulation? Is there a relationship between low BBT & low progesterone?

I’ve tried raspberry leaf tea & Vitex on the first half of the cycle this round.

October 30, 2020 at 9:28 amHi. Your temps didn't rise enough on CD 14 in comparison with the 6 previous days. It's looking like CD 15 is a possible ovulation day, but you still need the next 2 days to have elevated temps before that populates. There isn't a temperature that your body 'should' be after ovulation, you just want to see a biphasic pattern in your overall cycle.

I think the first sign to possible low progesterone would be a short luteal phase, shorter than 11 days, for a few cycles consistently.

I agree that I typically have more distinct temp dip follow by a temp rise when I ovulate. I’ve been concerned of my short Luteal Phase as well, but my progesterone level came back good when I got it tested a few months ago. However, that’s the month I think I may had a chemical pregnancy because my Luteal phase was quite a bit longer than usual. I don’t know if that affects the progesterone level since it’s tested before implantation.

I typically have 1 day of peak OPK & thermal shift follows, but this cycle, I had two days (first day being higher peak than the 2nd). So I was bit confused.

I’ll keep an eye on my BBT next couple days & hopefully it’ll be high.

October 30, 2020 at 11:11 amYou are so welcome. Another thing, Vitex can cause cycle changes, so just keep that in mind when using it if you did have quite regular cycles.

November 20, 2020 at 9:00 amHi. I would still say CD 15 is likely ovulation for your last cycle which puts your luteal phase at 12 days long.

Could you please help me again with my graph for this current cycle? The dark pink line has moved today showing the ovulation was a bit later than the original prediction. I thought I ovulated around CD14, and I was around LH11 today. I am all confused now.

December 4, 2020 at 8:18 amHi Lit'a. Happy to take another look. So there are a few instances where you might see a couple possibly ovulation days, like you have with this cycle. What I would look for is which one created a new higher range for your temps showing a biphasic pattern and which day lines up with your other fertile signs.

Based on the temps and fertile signs you have listed on your chart I would say CD 14 looks like possible ovulation. Were you seeing any other fertile signs recently?

December 4, 2020 at 9:22 amThank you, Andrea! I really appreciate your input. Somehow, it’s not easy for me to determine the CM and cervical position. I feel like I’m kind of guessing or making it up in my head, and I tend to rely on OPK and BBT. So if I did ovulate around CD14, my timing was ok??

I know I’m not young and may have harder time conceiving naturally. But I’m so healthy with good BMI, I’m getting discouraged already. Somehow, I thought I would be pregnant by now. Unfortunately, patience hasn’t been my strength:(

My husband is getting his semen analysis next week, and I went ahead and made an appointment with a fertility specialist as I was recommended by my OBGYN because of my age.

This forum has been wonderful to be able to read other people’s journeys.

December 4, 2020 at 9:30 amYou are so welcome! I am sorry its been harder for you to get pregnant. That is great your husband in going in for an analysis. I hope that gives you some answers as well.

I think your timing was good. The day before and day after is good timing. The egg is viable for about 24 hrs after ovulation. With you being around 11 DPO, if you don't get your period in the next day or so, you can certainly test again.

So happy the forums have been helpful for you. It's really wonderful to see how supportive everyone is!
