Trying for 8 months with no success

April 24, 2020 at 7:15 amMy husband and I have been trying for 8 months now. I appear to have regular cycles, with positive OPKs and a temp shift each month. Because of my CM pattern, I'm quite certain I ovulate very quickly after my peak OPK, maybe even the day of. We have been timing intercourse very well to the 3 days before and the day of ovulation each month, but nothing is happening. No pregnancy. OvaGraph didn't give me a coverline the month before last, I'm really not sure why because I was absolutely certain I ovulated and my CM, LH and temp followed the same pattern it always does. Fertility Friend gave me crosshairs that month and a high rating for our intercourse timing every month I have been using the app (past 6 mos).

Anyway, given that we have had excellent timing for 6-8 months and nothing has happened, does this mean there is likely something wrong? My husband had an SA done in March and his motility was a little lower than we would have liked, at 41%. His count was normal but not incredibly high, and his liquefaction was 60 minutes. Is it possible that would be enough to cause us to not conceive over 8 months of well-timed sex?

Given the pandemic, we cannot undertake more testing right now, but I'm increasingly worried that something may be wrong with me, such as blocked tubes. For reference, I'm 35 (turning 36 in July).

April 24, 2020 at 10:21 amIt is really hard to say if something is wrong. Your charts show a clear thermal shift.

Even when timing is perfect that is still only about a 25% chance of conception in healthy couples. I wouldn't be able to say what your husbands results mean in terms of how likely or unlikely conception would be because of them. Did his doctor go over that with him at all?

Some offices are doing teledoc services and in some cases you might be able to talk to a nurse. That might help ease you mind for now until you can get in for more testing.

Hopefully some women who's husbands have had similiar results can share what their experience was.

April 26, 2020 at 7:51 amHi, I think it is great news that you're young, you have all those great fertility signs and you have the good info about hubby. Maybe try to time intercourse closer to day of ovu. If sperm motility is lo it could help to have the egg there. My fertility specialist also told us that sperm is best on day 3-4 after previous intercourse. So we tried also to have sex before we thought ovulation was coming so we had 3 days in between to build up new strong swimmers. :-) baby dust. It will happen for you! The docs are great and if you get to see one before 43 I think you are with great odds.
