It also means that if you *do* have a genuinely triphasic chart, that using their numbers, you're at about a 73% chance of being pregnant.

I might have to test tomorrow morning, even if it's likely way too early. But if that's an implantation dip at 5dpo, then tomorrow would be 4 days after implantation, so it's not impossible. Gah! Must distract myself and then get to bed asap.

I make my own vitex tincture. When I conceived my son, I was taking a mix of vitex and shatavari root, and when my period came back postpartum, I only had some old vitex. So I took that while I brewed a fresh batch (it steeps for 6 weeks) and around 5dpo is when I started that new stuff. I tried to keep the dosage the same, but I forgot to measure the two separately after I strained them and just mixed them together. So it's possible I'm getting over a half teaspoon of the vitex now. I'm going to test again Friday if my temps are still up. Only time can tell!

Higher temps are what you look for post ovulation. But if your data is inconsistent because of erratic temping times, then your temperatures won't show a clear pattern, and not much can be learned from them. I'm new to this too, but I've been reading the heck out of Toni's book!

As for me, I have a 1 year old, who's been absolutely perfect from the moment he was conceived. I know I won't get that lucky twice, so I'd like to have him be a smidge more self-sufficient (or at least on his way to being potty trained!) before #2 comes along. The only birthday I want to avoid is December, but in a perfect world, I'd also rather not be 8-9 months pregnant in August.

Good luck to you-

Also, I recommend the cheap pregnancy strips online or the 88c tests at walmart. They're sensitive enough and loads cheaper.

The numbers are just the nearest tenths of a degree, so you can see at a glance that you had a .3 temp shift, without having to count boxes.

Given the slightly later potential ovulation date, I think I'd hold off til Sat/Sun to test, unless you start having symptoms. Honestly, because of the inconsistent times/temps, and without having the CM to cross-check, you might not even have ovulated til CD 19. There's really no way to know for sure without consistent temps, AND cervical potion or mucus, or OPKs. But if CD13 is right, you might in fact be going triphasic and be pregnant. I really can't say. Haha, hope that helps?

I tried to pay attention to CM and position when I was TTC #1 and I could never get the hang on what qualifies as what. That just takes time, as you get familiar with the feel of your body. The first time I actually felt my cervix was low, I couldn't *believe* how low it was, and then behold! My period arrived the next day, along with the expected temp drop. It was such a rush to see my body doing what it was supposed to!

So sure, the more research you do, the more informed you'll be, but beware- there is SO much conflicting info out there! I say a used copy of the book will save you time and frustration.

And I'm grateful, and excited, just bemused and mildly annoyed. I really hoped to have DS well on his way to being potty trained first. Thanks for the congrats! :-)
