understanding readings and graph
Since 2/2013
March 7, 2013 at 2:37 pmHello, would someone mind looking at my cycle 1 chart - as you can see I'm new to all this - I am a bit confused because my oral readings dont appear to correlate to the numbers on the chart/graph - for example, many of my oral reading values are in the 100s but none of the dots on the graph show values in the 100s. My vaginal readings appear to match the values I entered though. I was also hoping you could tell me what you think of my values (the numbers I entered, not the graph in case it's wrong) - I know that each and every one of us have different numbers and the numbers should be looked at relatively but in the OvaCue owner's manual (page 18 and 19) make it look like I should have a larger cue peak and vaginal rise than I have - my vaginal rise was only from 98 to 80 and then back up to 112. In the book the vaginal rise is from approx 100 up to approx 225... what do my less drastic, much lower readings mean to you if you had to hypothesize. Appreciate your help, Thanks, Melissa

As for your chart - it looks great! All women will have a different range and trends. . .so no need to compare it to the booklet (yet I know it's tempting!). You had a very clear oral 'cue peak' trend on CD 6, 7, and 8 (a high oral reading followed by two lower readings), which populated out your fertile window of light blue to dark blue days. Then once in your fertile window, the monitor begins to closely monitor your vaginal readings. As ovulation is approaching, we expect to see declining vaginal readings as estrogen is increasing. Then once ovulation occurs, we'll see a vaginal rise followed by continue elevated vaginal readings to confirm ovulation was successful. You had a very clear downward trend in your vaginal readings followed by a vaginal rise on CD 14 which populated the pink box. To confirm ovulation occurred with the pink box, we'll want to see relatively elevated vaginal readings from here on out (not dropping as low as your vaginal low on CD 13). Hope thathelps!

Also, every women is different with what symptoms they will feel at different times in their cycles, it does not really mean anything in regards of estrogen or progesterone.
